Ska

Ska was making a comeback in the late 70s as an emerging trend. It started out in the early 60s when Jamaicans attempted to recreate the sound of the New Orleans R&B they listened to over the airwaves. Instead of imitiating the sound they created a unique rhythm and melody which eventually ended up turning in to Reggae.

Rockabilly is one of the earliest forms of rock n' roll and has seemed to have had the most staying power. Whereas rock combined blues, R&B, and pop elements Rockabilly is hillbilly country music played with a boogie beat. It also evolved in the 50s and has continued on in future years but found its first Revival in the 70s.
